So says the old saying. It applies to Spring Break as well.

1. Cancun Hotel Location.

Remember, the old saying location, location, location. Same goes for Spring Break. Some students will be talked into staying out past km marker 12. Remember the commonly known area of km marker 4 through km marker 11 is known as the Party Zone. Refer to the Cancun Map. Students find Carlos 'n Charlies, Sr. Frogs, Jalapenos, Fat Tuesdays, Hard Rock, Mr. Papa's, Hooters, TGI Friday's, LaBoom and many more clubs in this area. Also if you choose a beachfront hotel, the beaches in this area are absolutely gorgeous. Hotels that accept students with open arms as well as hotels that have a large student following in "the zone" would be:

SPECIAL NOTE: The Oasis is an exception to the rule. It is not in "The Zone" that most students request to be in, it is about 3 miles outside "The Zone". However, due to the size and the history of student travelers it is still requested as frequently as those in "The Zone".

There are many hotels in Cancun that are very nice.
You will be more satisfied in "the zone."

Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco are world class resorts. Students may pay $70 - $150 more to go to these, but value wise they are tremendous. You will have virtually miles of party or club zone compared to blocks in some Mexican destinations. Before you decide on places like Mazatlan, Cabo or Ixtpa compare prices then compare clubs, activities, diversity of restaurants and you'll realize Cancun, Puerto Vallarta,  and Acapulco are world leaders in resort satisfaction.

Cruise ships can be a very pleasant experience. Especially the four buffet meals a day, the very soft waltz music and of course an exciting game of shuffle board. Remember most cruise ships will have an average passenger age of around 61. Most will require at least one person be over 25 per room. So if you want to eat your way through the Caribbean, dance the night away with Polka music and tan right along side your grandma - Go For It.
